My Story

This is our first time taking part in the Rally for Heroes and raising funds for SSAFA, which is the longest established Armed Forces charity in the UK.

SSAFA provides lifelong support for ANY serviceman or woman and their families, and also to the families of those who have paid the ultimate sacrifice serving their country, in any conflict.

The Rally itself is a gruelling 3,000 mile drive in 10 days through Europe, taking in 10 countries, starting at Dover, going as far east as Bratislava and finishing in Paris. It will not be a jolly sight-seeing driving holiday for us, but a real challenge to complete. The cost of taking in part in this event is funded entirely by Karen and myself and this means that every penny donated through this fund raising page will go to SSAFA.

Since 2010 the Rally for Heroes participants have raised over £500,000 and Karen and I are committed to raising as much as possible to help reach this year's event target of £100,000. We will be very grateful for any support that you are able to provide, no matter how small, through sponsorship to help us reach our goal and support the work of SSAFA.
