My Story

Hello All,

This will be my 4th time on the event and Claire's 1st time and it will be a sad loss to see it end, BUT it has been amazing to help raise so much money for the British Armed Forces during 2012 /14/16 and soon 2020 2021 2022 (COVID-19 didnt help)

This time I will taking part as a entrant and standing down from the Admin roll so I can experience the true thrill of taking part.

I would also like to say a big THANK YOU to all the people who are helping raise money for SSAFA in the background via a facebook page called BMW M-PERFORMANCE HATCH CLUB #BMPHC (In excess of £1700 so far)

A bit of back ground to RFH......

Rally for Heroes as we know it today was brought into existence in 2010 when 27 vehicles and 52 people embarked to cover a minimum of 5 miles for each serviceman that had given their lives whilst on active service in Afghanistan since the recent troubles began in 2001. This meant that a target of 1600 miles was set and completed by all taking part.

Since this time the event has been ran bi-annually ever since with a further 5 previous events, taking place in 2010, 2012, 2014, 2016 and 2018

Due to the COVID19 issue the event has been postponed till August 2022

2022 will now see yet another group of intrepid participants take part in Rally for Heroes that has kept to its early ethos and will, in 2018, see everyone who competes complete a minimum distance of approx 2500 miles that equates to the 456 lives that were lost during the Afghanistan Conflict.

It will, with your help, attempt to raise a minimum of £100,000 for SSAFA by taking 50 vehicles around the Europe.

This will be our 10th Anniversary and will be bigger and better than before.

Together we have managed to raise in 2018 :- £140,246.33 for SSAFA increasing our former record by over £13k!!

Overall our total raised is

£532,111.23

Again an unbelievable amount!!

Please help us support the charity...

Please help us to hit our target and aid SSAFA in helping those that have served our Nation!
